 After downloaded please unzip the file into the c:\Pointclouds folder

 

After that please add a new Pointcloud project into the plugin. Select datasource to be SQLite database and its location as:

c:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\Codemill.DataManagerAndReporter.bundle\Contents\Sample\Database\Pdms.s3db

Select Master MWF/NWD as:

c:\Pointclouds\127543_model.nwd

and Pointcloud Folder as:

c:\Pointclouds

 

 

 

 

 

After that you can open the project by double mouse click the project in the Pointcloud Projects.

 

 After that please import C:\Pointclouds\scanposmeters.xlsx into the database

 

 

Pointcloud plugin is using VRML cones to mark scanner positions in the model. To get cones created in the correct units please select default units as Meters for VRML file reader in the Navisworks Options Editor.

  

 

You can turn cones on and off from the toolbar button.

 

 

When cone is selected by the mouse, the plugin will insert pointcloud file that is assosiated to that cone in to the Navisworks and zooms to that position. Then you can keep on selecting next cone to move forward.

 

 

If you turn on links in the Navisworks then also scanner positions are displayed as links and you can select related cone with them to move forward.

 

You can also display 3dphoto of the pointcloud position with a FSPViewer after it has been added into the plugin environment. 

 

 

To assosiate .jpg 3d-photos with FSPViewer, please go to Launch Settings
